Happy July!
June was an exciting month! 📚 🚨...My second published book will be out soon. I started this journey for this book at the beginning of last year. It was supposed to be out in April but all this COVID stuff happened and I almost thought it wasn’t going to happen at all. Thank you @cora.stryker for this opportunity! On June 25th I joined @professor.williams and @mrjeffdess to discuss Gen Z's impact on community engagement. We first met at @rutgersu during the @markconference. It was my first time speaking a huge university. These guys were in the room next to me and their class was so hyped! I got a ton of donations to give back to kids in need. @modelcitizenfund @trinaskids @danfleyshman hosted their 17th annual fundraiser. This time he donated to 3 organizations. I got school supplies and toys. These Toys already have a home (@unionrescuemission) so I’m really excited about that. The school supplies will be donated to schools in Ghana. Thank you again for having me! I'm on a billboard! I’ve never seen my face so big before! If you're in LA be on the lookout. Thank you @countyofla Talk to you all next month!

Hi everyone!
Corona virus has kept me busy. I’ve made over 800 facial masks to help our frontline workers, shelters, corrections officers and friends, and family. They’ve been shipped all over the United States and I’m thankful my team has been able to help. Just a little dent in helping others. With the tragic passing of Ahmaud Arbery, Breonna Taylor, and George Floyd my main focus has been on being a voice in the community. So . . . .LET’S START THE CONVERSATION!!! This past Friday on June 6, at 12pm PST / 3pm EST I was joined by @littlemissflint @hailethomas @mrhoward365 @misspublicityny_la @fredtjoseph for a youth rally. I’m was beyond inspired to join the conversation with these incredible leaders. We addressed racism, mental health, and what our youth can do right now to make a difference in their communities. Special guest appearance from @nowthatsmajor. To watch a replay visit https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iKlIXI1qQI0 Thank you for all the support! Hi everyone!
This is a really weird time ....I still don’t get it ... but I have noticed that more people have been working together chip in and make sure we all stay safe. Thank you @findyourhilltop coffee shop + kitchen for letting me help provide masks to your staff. I also helped @missrodgershood pass out over 200 stem kits. Each kit has 4 easy and fun stem activities for kids to do while at home. I was once again officially named 2020 @keds Kid Ambassador and It’s OFFICIAL I will be on @hbomax CRAFTOPIA with @laurdiy 🌈 Starting May 27th, this 8 episode series will air exclusively on @hbomax and I can’t even put into words how incredible this entire show is and how talented all kid crafters are!!!! Thank you all for the continued support. See you next month! I hit the road in February!!!
First stop, Kare Bag Day: Fresno!!! Thank you to everyone who came out today!!!! @towerblendz I’m so thankful you allowed us to use your space!!! After we packed the bags we headed to the Fresno Rescue Mission and passed out the kare bags. It was a great day!!!! In the village of Heman Ghana they celebrated Khloetine’s Dat for the 2nd year in a row!!! Thank you @bridgetoafricaconnection @mkreneau for sending me pictures. On February 16, I went to @comeupla and showcased my fashion line in their market! There are so many great vendors. It was an awesome day. Cuts in the Park is always special because we simply make people feel good with a new hair cut. Thank you @expocenterla for helping me host this event! Thank you to everyone that came out to cut and give facials @therealghettokitchen for providing food. @afuturesuperhero for providing all the extra donations @officialdjkai for spinning. I kicked off 2020 in a very special way. I reached out to @havasole and they provided a pair of new @nike for @kess_gh 's birthday! Kessieh is probably one of the nicest guys I’ve ever met.
I also had an opportunity to help out a single father that fell on hard times. We took him and his sons out to dinner and presented them with tons of gifts!! A big thank you to Maurissa and Vanessa @avaelisefarmer Charmel, Ayesha, @keds, @stephsellshomes_socal @jdlzgirl @mysanctuarychurch @perfectlypackaged_you for helping me out! On January 25th I spoke at the sold-out @perfectlypackaged_you event! Every @perfectlypackaged_you event creates a place for young girls to grow and have the support they need. I love “girl chats” sessions where we all just talk about anything in a safe space. I’ve been waiting to share this news ..... Khloe Kares Dream Exchange 2020!!! I see so many youth summits going on and I’ve always wanted to host my own. I also want to give other youth the opportunity to make a global impact.... here is your chance. November 20-28th we will host a full youth summit in GHANA 🇬🇭 !!!! If you want to make a difference internationally, connect with other youth leaders and travel to one of the most beautiful places in the world!! Send an email to [email protected] for the official application!!! Please put Deam Exchange in the subject line. Thank you for the continued support. Don't forget to follow me on social media and stay up to date with all the events I have upcoming. I can't wait to connect with you all again next month! December was outstanding!
In the spirit of outreach I kicked off the month with end of the year Kare Bag day with @shades_of_hr Los Angeles. On December 6th I boarded a plane for my annual outreach trip in 🇬🇭 Ghana 🇬🇭. This trip is less about me and more about the local kids. In the US we get excited about PlayStations, iPads, and our access to all things tech. The kids at the Assin Manson school are excited about soccer balls and we had plenty to donate! Seeing their faces and playing with them was my high moment of the trip. I also met another young Philanthropist @votm1. Obed Dadzie lives in Takodori and at 16 years of age, he works tirelessly to empower young people to understand their potential to change conditions around them. Reuniting with the Sunday Morning Girls in Kumasi was extra special thanks to the gifts from @perfectlypackaged_you. The ribbon-cutting ceremony for the Khloe Kares Living Water Project was perfect! The bathroom looks great. Thank you @pointsoflight for seeing my light and believing in my mission. My aunt @_pia_949 and good friend @happyheartbakery have been providing rice crispy treats and sugar cookies for my trip all 3 years. The first time ever having sugar cookies was such a delight every year they ask for more!!! We visited the Kente Weaving Center to learn about working with kente cloth a very ancient practice in Ghana. It’s woven fabric produced by the Asante and Ewe people of Ghana. This brightly colored cloth has grown to become a symbol of West African (and particularly Ghanaian) pride and identity. It's much more than just cloth. It takes both hands and feet to work the sewing machine. I can't wait to share with you my New Years adventures and all the great work we accomplished in January. See you next month! I am very Grateful for November!
Kare bag days have changed a little bit. I’ve been doing more Kare bag days with companies and other organizations. Thank you @lachelle_nichole for organizing your 2nd Kare bag day with @connectionsacademy !!! Congrats to Troop 5824 who earned their @fashioncamp badge! Did you know Girl Scouts can do Kare Bag service projects at @fashioncamp !!! I had the opportunity to speak about Giving Tuesday Kids @givingtuesday at @gghs_bsu, Thank you for having me out !!! I did it. Yes I was nervous. Yes, I was worried no one would show up. Yes, I doubted myself. But I did it. All my guests showed up... I did well... and it was a great night. I hosted my first of many panels. This was the kick off to my return back to Ghana 🇬🇭! Thank you to everyone that came out. Thank you to my panelists!!!! @nowthatsmajor @nandihildebrand @imericacampbell thank you for taking the time out of your busy schedules just to sit with me. It was an honor!!! Thank you @flutterexperience for having Khloe Kares in your beautiful space! Thank you @mymochi_rd for sponsoring the night! Thank you @officialdjkai for djing.... thank you @happyheartbakery for the cookies with the Ghanaian flag 🇬🇭!!!! @annkarenspa for the spa packages... thank you to all the family and friends that showed up tonight. Thank you thank you thank you!!! I'm headed to Ghana on December 6th !!! I can wait to share with you what I do this month and the impact Khloe Kares continues to have in the fight to end homelessness and change the world! October was a great month!
The month kicked off with the official launch of the annual Kids #GivingTuesday campaign. I challenged over 1M kids worldwide to join me in making a difference in their community! I was again humbled and an honored to join an amazing group of women during @pa4kids White Rose Awards. Everyone had a unique story rooted in passion and purpose. Thank you @nicole_austin_ for the award and privelege of joining you on this special day. Of course, the month wouldn't have been complete without some good ol' outreach! I was joined by an amazing group of women from @connectionsacademy who helped me serve the residents of the Wise Place shelter in Santa Ana. The month culminated with a super event sponsored by @keds. @jordanjustright @therealrebekah and I learned all about the process of creating the perfect shoe. I can wait to share with you what I do this month and the impact Khloe Kares continues to have in the fight to end homelessness. September was an amazing month!
The month kicked off with @btwfoundation's #BeKind21 and @meadfivestar #StrengthNotStress campaigns. It was very humbling and an honor to accept The George H.W. Bush Points of Light Award in New York City for founding Khloe Kares and addressing crucial needs in my community. I was also featured on @accessonline ⭐️ with @kithoover @iamscottevans and had the opportunity to share my story! The most memorable part of my month was sitting on the Mother and Daughter panel with my mom during the @bbwrnetwork #BBWR2019 Conference I can wait to share with you what I do this month and the impact Khloe Kares continues to have in the fight to end homelessness. This month I focussed on spreading love to our community in a unique way.
Normally I do some type of philanthropy event for my bday celebration. This year I stayed at home making masks for the workers at the @thelamission to help fight the spread of #COVID19. Special thanks to @klaw40 & @99b.arnold for helping me with this special project!! Since kids all over the world are home here is a story that I did with @marjuancanady !! It was my first voiceover and published book. Download your copy here. We believe that generosity has the power to unite and heal communities in good times and bad. A truly global threat like #COVID19 touches every person on the planet, and it presents an opportunity to come together as a global community. Stay safe everyone !!! |
